Job Information at Work Experience English UK

Work Experience placements offered by our members are often split into three main categories.

Paid Placements

  • Work is paid, usually above the UK's national minimum wage
  • Work is often in the Hotel and Hospitality industries
  • Work often includes accommodation
  • Work may or may not include an English course, this is called a "Sandwich Course"

Unpaid Placements

  • Work can be in almost any sector
  • Work may or may not include an English Course, this is called a "Sandwich Course"
  • Travel and expenses MAY or MAY NOT be reimbursed depending on the employer
Leonardo Programmes

The student placement programme provides financial support under the European Community Leonardo da Vinci programme to students undertaking a work placement in a European country (other than the one in which they live and study).
