Work Experience Sandwich Courses

A sandwich course is a course, which has a clearly defined work experience element  - usually in the middle – to enable the student to put the theory learnt in the classroom into practice. 

Many non-EEA visa nationals book sandwich courses because they are looking to obtain classroom and work experience in combination.  These courses (subject the correct student visa) allow the student to do work experience for longer than the normal 20 hours per week.  The courses start with tuition at a school, often where students are completing a portfolio.  This portfolio is then embellished whilst on placement.
